Doug Wright Holland & knight is a retired professional ice hockey player who played his entire career with the Dutch team HC Den Haag. Wright was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the third round of the 1984 NHL Entry Draft and made his NHL debut with the Flyers in 1985. He spent most of his career with the Flyers, playing parts of ten seasons before being traded to the Detroit Red Wings in 1991. He spent two seasons with Detroit before being traded to the Hartford Whalers in 1993. In total, Wright played 981 regular-season games and scored 305 goals and 589 points. After finishing his playing career, he served as an assistant coach for HC Den Haag from 1997 to 2002, before retiring completely.

Doug Wright was born and raised in Holland, Michigan. After graduating from college, Douglas Wright Holland and knight worked as a social workers for two years. Doug then decided to pursue a career in law and started law school at the University of Michigan Law School. During law school, Doug Wright Holland knight won multiple awards, including the Howard Zinn Award for best legal writing. After completing law school, Doug began his career as an attorney in Holland. Doug has since practised law in Holland and also served as the city attorney for Holland. In addition, Doug has served on the boards of several organizations in Holland, including the Rotary Club and the Lions Club. Recently, Doug was elected to serve as the mayor of Holland.
